P.P. --- Order No. 02/ Dated: 26th May, 2026 Heard Mr. Mahesh Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Hazaribagh ACB P.S. Case No. 03 of 2026. It has been alleged that an illegal gratification was demanded by the Executive Engineer Water Resources Division, Barhi from the complainant. On a complaint made, a verification was conducted and the allegations having been found to be true, a trap was laid and the petitioner was apprehended with the tainted money. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the demand of illegal gratification was made by the Executive Engineer and not with present petitioner. It has been submitted that there is no allegation of any demand made by the petitioner who was posted under the Executive Engineer as an Assistant Engineer. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 10.04.2026. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer of the bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, ACB, Hazaribagh, in connection with Hazaribagh ACB P.S.
