1. Affidavit-of-service filed in court today is taken on record.
2. The prayer in the writ petition is innocuous. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that by an order dated March 4, 2025, the said Original Application was fixed by the learned Tribunal almost eleven months thereafter, i.e. on January 30,
2026.
3. It is submitted that the long pendency of the matter is affecting adversely the petitioner and as such a direction for expeditious hearing be issued.
4. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, taking note of the long pendency of the Original Application, WPLRT 217 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the Fourth Bench of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to dispose of O.A. 475 of 2024 (LRTT), pending before it, as expeditiously as possible, by positively taking up for hearing the said Original Application on the next date fixed i.e. on January 30, 2026. It is expected that such hearing shall be concluded as expeditiously
2 thereafter as possible and the Original Application shall be disposed of latest by the end of March, 2026.
5. There shall be no order as to costs.
6. Let urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
