Mr. Kamales Bhattacharyya, Mr. Aninda Bhattacharya …for the Petitioners. Mr. Nadeem Sulaiman …for the Madrasah Board. 1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record. 2. By the present writ petition, the petitioners seek for direction upon the respondent authorities particularly the Principal Secretary, Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department to grant recognition in favour of the Gorkarne U.A. High Madrasah, P.S. Mograhat, District-South 24-Parganas. 3. Mr. Kamalesh Bhattacharyya, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that several applications were filed before the appropriate authority for granting recognition to petitioner No.5. Lastly by order dated 17th July, 2023 in MAT 333 of 2020 the petitioners were granted liberty to approach the West Bengal Madrasah Education for recognition. Pursuant thereto, application has been filed before the appropriate authority. However, the same is still 2 pending consideration. He submits that the matter may be relegated to the appropriate authority for due consideration. 4. Mr. Nadeem Sulaiman, learned Advocate for the Madrasah Board concedes to such submissions. 5. In view of such submissions advanced on behalf of the respective parties, the respondent No.4, West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 11th December, 2024 (Annexure P/30), in accordance with law, upon notice to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA 21668 of 2025 stands disposed of. 7. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted, 8. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 9. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 10. There shall be no order as to costs. 11. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 12. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.)
