. 2026 Heard Mr. S.P. Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the appellant.
2. The instant appeal filed by the applicant/appellant prays for stay of the
judgment and award dated 12.06.2026, passed by the learned Member, MACT, Golaghat, in MAC Case No. 139/2017 pending disposal of the MAC Appeal No. 520/2026.
3. The learned counsel submits that the applicant has filed an appeal against the judgment and award dated 12.06.2026 passed by the learned MACT, Golaghat in MAC Case No. 139/2017. He submits that the said appeal already been admitted and, accordingly, if the impugned award is not suspended till the pendency of the appeal, the applicant shall suffer irreparable loss in injury.
4. In view of the above circumstances, the impugned judgment and award dated 12.06.2026 is stayed during the pendency of the MAC Case No. 520/2026 subject to the condition that the appellant shall deposit 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court within 6 (six) weeks from today.
