JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH O R D E R 21.09.2026 Heard Ms. Esther, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Applicant and Ms. V. Suokhrie, learned Additional Advocate General, Nagaland appearing on behalf of the Respondents/State. 2. This application, i.e. I.A.(Civil)/154/2026 filed seeking amendment of the writ petition thereby to substitute the Relief ‘B’ in the accompanying writ petition. The substituted Prayer ‘B’ is mentioned at paragraph No. 5 of the said application. 3. Taking into account that the amendment sought for in the present proceedings by way of the instant application would be necessary for an effective adjudication of the accompanying writ petition, this Court is of the opinion that the amendment so sought for at paragraph No. 5 should be permitted. It is also the opinion that no prejudice should be caused to the Respondents inasmuch as the Respondents would be at liberty to file an additional affidavit-in-opposition subsequent to the filing of the amended writ petition. Accordingly, this Court allows the amendment as sought for at paragraph No. 5 of the instant Page No.# 7/7 application. 4. The Petitioner is directed to file the amended writ petition on or before 14.10.2026 before the Registry of this Court by serving advance copies to Ms. V. Suokhrie, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State. 5. I.A. stands allowed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
