1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.
2. The petitioner challenges the order dated 31st December, 2024 passed by the Deputy Secretary (General), West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
3. The Board allowed extraordinary leave to the petitioner without pay from 1st February, 2019 to 14th July, 2022.
4. It appears that the said direction is in consonance with the direction passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court on 14th September, 2023 wherein the Court directed the Board to consider the
2 prayer of the petitioner for extraordinary leave without pay. The Board afforded opportunity of hearing to the petitioner when, however, the petitioner chose to remain absent.
5. Upon considering all records, the Board appears to have acted in accordance with the direction passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench. The Court does not find any error in the impugned order.
6. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
7. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
