This application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 is preferred by the applicant, namely, Mir Kasem @ Mir Page No.# 2/2 Kasim Sheikh, who has been apprehending his arrest, in connection with Bilasipara P.S. Case No. 256/2026, under Sections 325/3(5) of BNS, 2023, read with Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, for grant of pre-arrest bail. Mr. Barthakur, learned APP, submits that he has not received the case diary and as per his instruction, the I.O. has completed investigation and submitted charge-sheet, being charge-sheet No. 296/2026, dated 29.08.2026. The learned counsel for the accused submits the petitioner will apply for regular bail before the learned Trial Court and as such, this application may be closed. Accordingly, taking note of the submission of the learned counsel for the accused, this bail application stands closed. However, liberty is given to the applicant to approach the learned Trial Court and apply for regular bail.
