The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as 'BNSS') seeking, inter alia, quashing of Cyber Complaint bearing Acknowledgment No. 30805260039484 dated 22.05.2026 lodged through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP), quashing of consequential E-FIR Nos. 321/2026 and 391/2026, and all proceedings This is a digitally signed order. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that he is not pressing the prayers contained in Clauses D, E, F, G, H and I of the petition. The said prayers are accordingly treated as not pressed. 4. Learned counsel appearing for Respondent Nos. 4 and 5 submits that, upon completion of inquiry, the investigating agency has already prepared a cancellation report and is in the process of filing the same before the competent Court. 5. It is also evident from the statement made before this Court by respondent no. 6, as recorded in the order dated 01.06.2026 that there existed prior financial and professional dealings between the petitioners and Respondent No. 6 even before the filing of the aforesaid cyber complaint and registration of the E-FIRs. 6. Having considered the submissions advanced by the parties, the status report placed on record, the stand taken by Respondent Nos. 4 and 5 regarding filing of the cancellation report, and the statement of Respondent No. 6 recorded in the order dated 01.06.2026, this Court is of the view that the dispute between the parties is essentially of a civil and financial nature arising out of prior professional and monetary transactions. No useful purpose would be served by permitting the criminal proceedings to continue. 7. Accordingly, Cyber Complaint bearing Acknowledgment No. 30805260039484 dated 22.05.2026, along with E-FIR Nos. 321/2026 and 391/2026 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, are hereby quashed. 8. The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. This is a digitally signed order.
