Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased topleased to issue order, writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.15,00,000/- (Fifteen Lakhs) to the son of the petitioner Pandi Anil Kumarunder Application ID No. OV2019122232, dated 25-06-2019 as per GO.Ms.No.27 dated 12-02- 2019 r/w GO.Ms.No. 29 dated 27-08- 2016 as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to release the financial assistance Rs.15,00,000/- (Fifteen Lakhs), to son of the petitioner Pandi Anil Kumarunder Application ID No. OV2019122232, dt 25-06-2019as

The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.15,00,000/- sanctioned to the son of the Petitioner under ‘Videshi Vidhya Deevena’ scheme for pursuing M.Sc International Business with Sandwich Placement in University of Hertfordshire as illegal and arbitrary.
2. The facts leading to this case are as follows: The son of the Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under “Videshi Vidhya Deevana’ for pursuing M.Sc International Business with Sandwich Placement in University of Hertfordshire, vide Application ID No.OV2019122232. After due verification, Respondent No.3 sanctioned Rs.15,00,000/- in favour of the son of the Petitioner for pursuing the said course. Though, the son of the Petitioner had completed his Course, the financial assistance as promised to the son of the Petitioner was not disbursed to him. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for the Respondent No.3/Corporation submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:-

(i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Petition shall stand closed. _______________________ JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY
