1. By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks directions to the respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 29.06.2026, filed before respondent no. 3. 2. Issue notice. The learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent no. 3. 3. The case of the petitioner, as set out in the petition, is that it is the owner and in possession of various parcels of agricultural land purchased by it through registered sale deeds executed between the years 2011 and 2023. It is stated that on 05.06.2026, officials of respondent no. 3/Power Grid Corporation of India entered upon the petitioner’s land and commenced This is a digitally signed order. excavation/digging activities for laying/passage of a High Voltage Transmission Line, without any prior notice to the petitioner. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 29.06.2026 before respondent no. 3, raising objections to the proposed works and requesting that no interference with its possession be caused except in accordance with law. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the aforesaid representation, respondent no. 3 has neither considered the objections raised therein nor referred the matter to the concerned District Magistrate as, according to the petitioner, is required under Section 67 of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Rule 3 of the Works of Licensees Rules, 2006. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that the present writ petition be treated as representation, which will be decided by respondent no. 3 within a period of four weeks from date, as per applicable law and rules, under intimation to the petitioner. 6. It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s claim or objections.
In case the petitioner is aggrieved by any further order, he will be at liberty to approach this Court again. 7. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
