The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs: “(i) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the impugned transfer order dated 25.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) passed by the respondent no. 1 so far as it relates to transfer 2 order of the petitioner, in the interest of justice. (ii) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a mandamus directed the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue in the present place of posting, in the interest of justice. (iii) Any other relief which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner while working on the post of Deputy Ranger was promoted on the post of Forest Ranger vide order dated 21.11.2025 and since then, he is working and discharging his duties of the Forest Ranger. Vide order dated 25.02.2026 (Annexure-P/1), promoted Forest Rangers have been posted at different places and petitioner has been posted at Karya Ayojana, Van Mandal Bilaspur. It is submission of counsel for the petitioner that according to the service record of the petitioner, petitioner is due to retire upon attaining the age of superannuation on 30.09.2026 within a period of six months and if petitioner is to join the promoted place of posting, it will cause hindrance in detailing the documents with regard to the retiral dues of the petitioner and therefore, the impugned order of posting of the petitioner on transfer be set aside. 3. Counsel for the State submits that the order impugned is not an order of transfer, it is the order of posting of the petitioner on promotion. If petitioner is having grievance with regard to his posting, he could have submitted representation before the appropriate authority, to which the petitioner had not submitted. 4. At this stage, counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to submit representation before the appropriate authority. 3 5. On due consideration of submission of counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to submit a representation before the respondent No. 1 within a period of 10 days, and if, such a representation is submitted, the concerned authority shall consider and take decision on the said representation, keeping in mind the date of superannuation of the petitioner within six months, in accordance with law, preferably within a further period of 10 days from the date of receipt of representation. Till the decision is taken on the representation, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner. 6.
