S. Item No. 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF MANIPUR AT IMPHAL CRP(CRP.Art.227) No. 5 of 2026 Poubi R. Naga
Petitioner/s Vrs. Commandant 9th BN Assam Rifles & 3 ors. Respondent/s BEFORE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. M. SUNDAR (ORDER) 16.03.2026 When the matter is taken up, it came to light that the order dated ‘07.01.2026 made in Judl. Misc. Case No. 75 of 2025 in Original (L.A.) Case No. 1 of 2025 on the file of the Court of District Judge, Senapati, Manipur’ (‘impugned order’ for the sake of convenience and brevity) records that the opposite parties including the revision petitioner before this Court did not object to the application i.e., Judl. Misc. Case No. 75 of 2025 (to be noted, this Court is informed that Judl. Misc. Case No. 75 of 2025 was taken out by the competent authority qua land acquisition proceedings with a prayer to implead private parties). Mr. D. Julius Riamei, learned counsel for revision petitioner, in his usual fairness, submitted that it has become necessary to seek review in the Court which made the impugned order. On this basis, learned counsel sought leave of this Court to withdraw the captioned ‘Civil Revision Petition’ (‘CRP’ for the sake of brevity) but made a further plea to preserve all the rights and contentions of the revision petitioner to approach the afore-referred Court i.e., Court of District Judge, Senapati, Manipur with a review plea. This request is acceded to. If the revision LAIREN MAYUM INDRAJE ET SINGH Digitally signed by LAIRENMAYUM INDRAJEET SINGH Date: 2026.03.17 14:02:21 +05'30'
petitioner approaches the aforereferred District Court with a review plea, the same shall be considered on its own merits in accordance with law by the District Court. Captioned CRP disposed of as closed/withdrawn albeit with preservation of rights and contentions of the revision petitioner in the aforesaid manner. There shall be no order as to costs.
