1. The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, has been filed by an organisation, describing itself as a Trust “engaged inter alia in helping the poor and downtrodden people for all their grievances”. The relief sought in this petition is as follows:
“a) Issue an appropriate Writ(s), Order(s) or Direction(s) in the nature of Writ of Mandamus thereby transfer the investigation of FIR No. 375/2026 PS: Seemapuri, U/s. 74, 75(1) (i), 115(2), 3(5) BNS (old 354, 354A, 323, 34 IPC) to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or to any other independent agency and provide adequate police protection (other than local police) to the victims and inquiry be initiated against erring police officials b) Pass such other and further order as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice.”

The petition, alongwith pending application, is dismissed as withdrawn, without prejudice to the petitioner’s right to file a PIL, after complying with all the formalities for the same, if so advised. 4. Needless to say, this Court has not made any observations with regard to the maintainability or merits of any such proposed petition.
