1. Heard Mr. A. Khanikar, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. D.P Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. This application under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the petitioners, namely, Pranab Das and Aftab Ali has prayed for bail in connection with Noonmati P.S Case No. 1/2026 registered under Sections 296/121(2)/3(5) of BNS,
2023.
3. As per the allegations revealed in the FIR, the Home Guard was on duty at Pathar Quarry Traffic Point. He was called by a woman to intervene in a fight between the accused persons. Upon his intervention, the accused persons chased him and assaulted him, as a result of which, the informant sustained serious injuries.
4. The petitioners were arrested on the spot by Traffic Personnel on 01.01.2026 and since then, they have been behind the bars.
5. Perusal of the medical report annexed to the instant bail application in respect of the informant does not disclose any external injury or any abnormality upon physical examination.
6. Having regard to the above as well as the period of detention, the prayer for bail is allowed.

7. Accordingly, the above-named petitioners are allowed to go on bail of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) only each with one sureties each of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the concerned learned court with following conditions:
(i) That the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation and appear before the I.O as and when called for; (ii) That the petitioners shall not hamper the investigation or tamper with the evidence. (iii) That the petitioners shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person who may be acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade such person from disclosing such facts of the case before the Investigating Officer;
8. With the above observations, this bail application is
disposed of.
