JUSTICE M.I.ARUN - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16178 WP No. 4857 of 2026 ORAL ORDER The petitioner is said to be a Welfare Association of farmers and traders who are involved in growing and selling of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Their grievance is that they are some of the members of the association, who have taken lease of some shops in K.R.Market and are involved in the business of selling fruits, vegetables and flowers therein. However, on the upper basement floor of K.R.Market, the authorities concerned have allowed certain persons to operate without any requisite permissions and they are preventing the farmers from selling their produce to the legitimate shop owners and these persons are acting as middlemen between the farmers, shop owners and sometimes customers also. Hence, the petitioner association has made a representations to the authorities concerned. As the same has not been considered, the present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take action against such illegal operators. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16178 WP No. 4857 of 2026 2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent- Greater Bengaluru Authority (for short, 'the GBA') as well as the learned Additional Government Advocate, upon instructions, submit that they have no knowledge regarding the existence of such black marketers. However, they submit that a necessary investigation will be conducted, and if such black market activities are found to exist, appropriate action will be initiated against those involved. 3. Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the respondent-GBA and the learned Additional Government Advocate, the respondents are directed to do the necessary investigation and do the needful in accordance with law. 4.
