The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Chowka P.S. Case No. 40 of 2024, registered for the offence under Sections 272, 273, 290, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and Sections 15/22 of NDPS Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge-I, Seraikella.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has come on the basis of confessional statement of one Nayak Singh Munda. He next submits that from one vehicle, foreign liquor has been recovered and the owner of the said vehicle has already been provided the privilege of anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No. 6807 of 2024 by the co-ordinate bench. He further submits that only allegation is made that the said liquor was being transported for the petitioner.

Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioner has come on the

basis of confessional statement.

Considering that the name of the petitioner has come on the basis of confessional statement and only allegation is there against the petitioner that the liquor was being transported in the vehicle to hand over the same to the petitioner, in that view of the matter, the petitioner, named above, is directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks from today and the learned Court shall release the petitioner on such terms and conditions or the sureties as the learned Court may deem fit and proper.
