By filing this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs:- i.
“For showing cause the respondents, particularly the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) as to how and why the names of the Petitioners were not included in the final result published vide Important Notice dated 12.08.2025, despite having been called for and having successfully completed Document Verification and no discrepancy having ever been pointed out or communicated regarding their eligibility despite the admitted fact that several posts remain vacant. ii. For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, including a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondent- Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to include the names and registration numbers of the Petitioners in the final result/selection list for appointment to the post of Sahayak Acharya (Class I to V) in the Para Category pursuant to Advertisement No. 13/2023, in view of the fact that the Petitioners had duly qualified the examination, were shortlisted and had successfully appeared in the Document

Verification process pursuant to Notice No. 75 dated 28.07.2025 (Annexure-8), wherein no discrepancy, deficiency or objection whatsoever was found or pointed out with respect to their eligibility or documents. iii. For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to fill up the available and unfilled vacancies under Advertisement No. 13/2023 by considering eligible candidates like the Petitioners, instead of leaving sanctioned posts vacant in an arbitrary manner. iv. In the interim, this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to direct the Respondents to reserve 09 seats under the class 1 to 5 for appointment of the petitioners during pendency of this writ application.”
2. Heard learned senior counsel representing the petitioners and learned counsel representing the respondents. 3. Pursuant to an interim order dated 10.02.2026 passed in this writ petition i.e. W.P.(S) No.813 of 2026, the respondents have uploaded the normalized marks of each of the candidates who has participated in the examination. They have also published the cut- off marks as on 16.02.2026. 4.
It is an admitted case that none of the petitioners has obtained more marks than the cut-off marks published as on
16.02.2026. 5. Thus, considering the aforesaid facts, no relief can be granted to the petitioners as the petitioners have obtained lesser marks than the cut-off marks. 2026:JHHC:4921 4
5.1. However, if in future, it is found that any person obtaining lesser marks than the petitioners in the category and subject of the petitioners, has been appointed, it will be open to the petitioners to approach this Court. 6. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands
disposed of.
