By way of this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs : 10.1 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to consider and decide the application dated 28.10.2025 / Annexure P3. 10.2. That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to immediately grant financial assistance payable to the petitioner. 10.3. That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to grant financial assistance to the petitioner as per the Revenue Book Circular / State government Policy. 10.4. Any other relief or reliefs may also be granted to the petitioners which this Hon'ble court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the son of the petitioner died due to drowning, The postmortem report as well as the death certificate of the deceased have been duly filed. Accordingly, an application for grant of compensation under the Revenue Book Circular (RBC) was filed by the petitioner before the concerned Tehsildar way back on 28.10.2025. However, the 3 said application remains pending and has not been decided till date.. 3. Per contra, learned counsel for the State submits that there is no record to suggest that the application was ever filed with or received by the concerned authority. Accordingly, he submits that the petitioner may be directed to file a fresh application before the competent authority and on such application being filed, the same shall be decided by the said authority in accordance with law. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and also perused the documents annexed with the petition. 5. Evidently, the son of the petitioner died on account of drowning and necessary compensation is required to be granted under the provisions of the RBC 6. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh application before the concerned authority along with the relevant documents within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and in turn, the concerned authority shall decide the same in accordance with law within a further period of 45 days. 7.
