(Oral) Pursuant to directions contained in the order dated 22.06.2026, SP Sachin Hiremath, District Una, has come present along with Investigating Officer. He states that he, after having received Court notice, enquired the matter and found that delay in filing the status report was not intentional, rather same occurred owing to circumstances, which were completely beyond the control of Investigating Officer. He states that for future, he has already issued instructions/guidelines to all the concerned Police Stations falling in his district to ensure that status report, if any, in terms of Court order is filed expeditiously, on or before the date fixed by 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? -2- the Court. He states that status report in the case at hand has been filed, which is taken on record. 2. Having taken note of explanation rendered on record by the Superintendent of Police, District Una, this Court sees no necessity to pass further directions, however, warns the Police official to remain more careful in future while dealing with Court cases. 3. Having perused status report, learned counsel representing the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition, at this stage, with liberty to file afresh, at an appropriate stage, if required and desired.
