Union of India and others” Mr. Abdul Rashid Nath, through whom the said writ petition was filed has submitted that the writ petition was withdrawn at his instance. Mr. Thakur submits that he has never instructed Mr. Furrahi to appear in the case, whereas Mr. Furrahi states that he has been instructed to appear in the matter. Be that as it may, petitioner has admitted that he never wanted to pursue the writ petition; therefore, I am of the considered view that keeping this application pending on board will serve no fruitful purpose.
