Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent no.1, Ms. Roshani Dwivedi, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Pooja Agarwal, learned counsel for the respondent nos.2 to 5, Mr. Saurabh Rai, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Pratik Chandra, learned counsel for the respondent no.6 and perused the record. This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondents to consider and finalise the cadre revision for the Department of Electricity and Water Supply Services, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, U.P., as well as for a further prayer to direct the respondents to decide the claim/representation dated 15.12.2025 of the petitioners regarding the aforesaid. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a representations of the petitioners, who are 115 in number, for consideration and finalisation of cadre revision for the Department of Electricity and Water Supply Services, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, is pending consideration before respondent no. 2, therefore a direction may be issued to decide the same within a stipulated period. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case petitioners move a fresh application/representation before the competent authority, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case set up on behalf of the Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Sudhir Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : A.S.G.I., C.S.C., Pooja Agarwal, Pratik Chandra Shashi Kant Maurya And 114 Others .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 6 Others .....Respondent(s) petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of by providing that the petitioners may make fresh representations, individually, ventilating all their grievances, supported by such documents, as may be advised, before the respondent no.2; The Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, U.P., within three weeks from today along with a certified copy of this order. On such representation being made, respondent no.2 shall make all endeavours to consider and decide the same, strictly in accordance with law, by means of a reasoned and speaking order, after giving proper opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
