DATE : 10.07.2026 Heard Mr. Mohammad Ateeque, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. A.M. Joshi, learned AGP for respondent No.1/State. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an application for grant of non-agricultural permission in respect of the land mentioned in prayer clause (ii) of the present writ petition. He further submits that the said application was submitted on 23rd October, 2025, and that more than eight months have lapsed, yet the aforesaid application is not decided by respondent No. 2. He submits that respondent No. 2 is under a statutory obligation to discharge such duty, and that the provisions of the Maharashtra Government Servants Regulation of Transfers and Prevention of Delay in Discharge of Official Duties Act, 2005, directs the Government servants to perform their official duties diligently and as expeditiously as possible. 2026:BHC-NAG:8723-DB 110.WP.5295.2026 2/2 3. In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid application dated 23rd October, 2025, which is at record page No.57 (Annexure-7), within a period of six weeks from the date of production of this order. 4.
