P.P. upon instructions received has submitted that no FIR has been registered against the present petitioner at Tezpur Police Station. Page No.# 2/2 However, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is being harassed on the basis of Tezpur police station GD Entry No. 16 dated 03.12.2025. It is directed that the petition is disposed of with a direction that the police shall not harass the petitioner merely on the basis of the aforesaid GD entry. However, it would be open for the I.O. to take necessary steps as provided under the provisions of the BNSS including the issuance of notice under Section 35 thereof.
