JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of petitioners that petitioner No.1 is seeking regularisation of land measuring 2 acres in Sy.No.152 and petitioners' mother is seeking regularisation of land measuring 2 acres in Sy.No.37 both situated at Kunoor Village, Kasaba Hobli, Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara District. The petitioner No.1 and petitioners' mother have filed their respective applications in Form No.57 on 08.03.2019 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation, however, the Committee for Regulation of Unauthorised Occupation has not considered the application till date. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:13657 WP No. 1252 of 2026 3. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.4-Tahsildar was duty bound to place the applications filed by petitioner No.1 and petitioners' mother before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ and the Committee was also duty bound to consider the applications and pass necessary orders. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Kanakapura Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such applications filed by the petitioner in the year 2019 is pending consideration. If it is found that such applications was indeed filed by the petitioner No.1 and petitioners' mother and the applications are yet to be considered, the Tahsildar is directed to place before the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation, the applications along with his recommendation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the said applications and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:13657 WP No. 1252 of 2026 expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months.
