Respondents For Petitioner : Ms. Meena Shastri, Advocate For Respondents-State : Mr. Ajay Kumrani, Panel Lawyer SB: Hon'ble Shri Parth Prateem Sahu, Judge ORDER ON BOARD 30 /03/2026 1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- 2 “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ/direction/order commanding the respondents to quash the suspension order dated 10.02.2026 (Annexure P/1). 10.2 Any other relief(s), which may deem fit, looking to the facts and circumstances of the case may be given to the petitioner. ” 2. On the objection being raised by the counsel for petitioner with regard to maintainability of the writ petition on the ground that the petitioner is having alternate efficacious remedy to prefer an appeal against the order of suspension under Rule 9 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966 (hereinafter for brevity referred to as the Rules, 1966), learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the order of suspension is passed by the Appellate Authority and therefore, this writ petition is filed. 3. The submission made by the counsel for petitioner is not acceptable, because even if the order is passed by the Joint Director, then also, the Appellate Authority will be the higher authority in the hierarchy to challenge the order of the Joint Director. 4. In the aforementioned facts of the case, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition at this stage. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed reserving liberty with the petitioner to prefer an appeal as provided under Rule 23 of the Rules, 1966. 5. Certified copy as per rules.
