This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 27.01.2025 passed in WPS No.1802 of 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that entire retiral dues have not been paid to petitioner and thereby respondents have committed contempt of order passed by this Court. 3. Learned counsel for respondents submits that writ petition bearing WPS No.1802 of 2023 is against proceeding drawn for recovery of excess payment made to petitioner of Rs.6,47,900/- and withholding of gratuity amount of Rs.3,03,211/- . After the writ petition is allowed by the order subject matter of contempt petition, respondents have disbursed the amount of Rs.2,06,630/- (gratuity of Rs.1,44,238 + DA of Rs.62,392) with interest through cheque bearing No.851430 in the bank account of petitioner. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 5. Perusal of the pleadings made in contempt petition would show that contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of order dated 27.01.2025 passed in WPS No.1802 of 2023. Perusal of the letter dated 16.04.2025 which is placed before this Court by learned counsel for the respondents for perusal would show that amount which is due and payable to the petitioner has been paid to the petitioner. 6. In the aforementioned facts of case, I do not find any good ground to continue with this contempt petition any further. Contempt proceeding is accordingly dropped. Notice issued to respondents stand discharged. 7. Contempt Petition is accordingly closed. 8. If for any reason, petitioner is aggrieved with regard to non- payment of other amount, he will be at liberty to file appropriate 3 / 3 proceeding specifying the head and amount which is still not paid by respondents.
