Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Barwadda P.S. Case No. 119/2024. On the assurance that the informant will be provided employment in Eastern Coalfields Limited, an amount of Rs. 4,50,000/- was given to the petitioner. The informant was also given an Appointment Letter by the petitioner which was subsequently found to be forged and fabricated. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in another case being Barwadda P.S. Case No. 36/2022, the victim had settled the dispute with accused of that case who was the petitioner as an amount of Rs. 8 lakhs was extended to him. Learned counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 15.07.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has got several criminal antecedents. Regard being had to the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner and the criminal antecedents which speak of the habitual nature of the offence committed by him, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
