1. This is a petition under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) seeking extension of mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal.
2. Issue notice.
3. Mr. A.K. Tewari, learned counsel accepts notice on advance service on behalf of the respondent. Mr. Tewari, learned counsel for the respondent states that he has no objection in case the present petition is allowed.
4. It is stated by the parties that the learned Arbitral Tribunal has heard the final arguments on behalf of the petitioner and the arguments of respondents are under way. It is also stated that thereafter, time may be consumed for passing the award too. It is further stated that the mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal would expire on 20.08.2026 and seek a further extension for a period of six months.
5. In view of the above, the petition is allowed. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended for an additional period of six months with effect This is a digitally signed order.
