ORDER
1. In this petition, petitioners herein have sought a direction upon respondent No.2/ State Transport Commissioner, Jammu to decide 33 appeals preferred by Sr. No. 126

the petitioners under Section 89 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 read with Rule 42 of the Jammu and Kashmir Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991 expeditiously within a time bound manner.
2. It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners have challenged 33 challans before respondent No.2, which are pending adjudication before the competent authority since 2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that petitioners would feel satisfied if the instant writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the appeals pending before it within a reasonable period of time.
4. Mr. Dewakar Sharma, learned Dy. AG states that he is not averse to the proposition being made by learned counsel for the petitioners.
5. Be that as it may, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide all 33 appeals, preferred by the petitioners under Section 89 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 read with Rule 42 of the Jammu and Kashmir Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991, expeditiously by passing a speaking order, within a period of two months from the date of passing of this order.
6. The writ petition is disposed of.
