P. Bhuibhar, Advocate for petitioner. Shri N. S. Autkar, Assistant Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 4. CORAM : ANIL S. KILOR & RAJNISH R. VYAS, JJ. DATED : October 05, 2026
1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. At the outset he has invited our attention to the communication dated 28/07/2025 by which the Deputy Superintendent of Land Record, Nagpur (Rural) has stated that on the record of office, last entry pertains to Survey No.112 and no further entry is found. It is further mentioned that as per request made, old Khasra No.8/present Survey No.115 is not found on record and therefore said record can not be provided. The communication further shows that ‘online 7/12 extract shows last entry of Gat No.125’. 3. We are at the pain to state that the respondent-Deputy Superintendent of Land Record has superficially rejected the request of the petitioner. What was expected from the Superintendent was to collect the information from the concerned department and consider the case of the petitioner. 4. In that view of the matter, we direct the respondent-Deputy Superintendent of Land Record, Nagpur (Rural) to remove the discrepancy in the record of office and online information, after 2026:BHC-NAG:13232-DB
2 138-WP-7882-26.odt perusal of the relevant record from the concerned department.
Once such discrepancy is removed, take the decision afresh. Such exercise shall be done within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of this order before the said Authority. 5. With aforesaid direction, writ petition is disposed of. 6. No order as to costs. (Rajnish R. Vyas, J.) ( Anil S. Kilor, J.) Asmita Signed by: Smt. Asmita A.
