JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner had filed application in Form No.57 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation of 2.00 Acres of land in Survey No.104 of Anivallu Village, Bettadapura Hobli, Periyapatna Taluk, Mysuru District. When the application was not considered, the petitioner filed writ petition No.4637/2020 seeking a writ of mandamus. The said writ petition was disposed of on 06.03.2020 with a direction to the respondent-State Government to constitute the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and thereafter, the Committee was directed to consider the application and pass necessary orders within a period of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12912 WP No. 3245 of 2026 seven months from the date of constitution of the Committee. However, the respondent-Tahsildar, Periyapatna Taluk issued an endorsement dated 23.01.2023 rejecting the application. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner approached the Assistant Commissioner, Hunsur Sub-Division, Hunsur, in proceedings bearing No.L.N.D.Appeal (Form 53) 11/2023 and the Assistant Commissioner vide order dated 13.11.2024 partly allowed the appeal and set aside the endorsement issued by the Tahsildar while directing the Committee to reconsider the application. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that though the matter has been remanded back to the Committee for reconsideration, the Committee has not reconsidered the application and no orders are passed till date. 2. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Periyapatna Taluk to place the application filed by the petitioner in Form No.57, before the Committee for - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12912 WP No. 3245 of 2026 Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Committee shall thereafter reconsider the application and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date when the application would be placed by the Tahsildar before the Committee.
