This appeal has been filed challenging interim order dated 07.04.2026 passed by learned Single Bench in Writ Petition No.9162 of 2026.
2. Petitioners have filed the aforesaid writ petition challenging Final Notice dated 20.02.2026 issued by respondent No.4 as well as Distress Warrant dated 28.03.2026 issued by the said respondent under Section 88 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965.
3. Learned Single Bench, vide order dated 07.04.2026, had directed maintenance of status quo subject to deposit of 50% of demanded amount

within one week and balance amount within two weeks thereafter. 50% of demanded amount was deposited. On 20.04.2026, it was directed that interim protection of status quo shall continue upon compliance of the deposit of the balance amount within two (2) weeks.

Learned counsel for appellants, after arguing for some time, submits that time afforded by learned Single Bench to deposit balance amount may be extended.

Learned counsel for respondents does not raise serious objection thereto.
6. This Writ Appeal is, thus, disposed of directing that time afforded by learned Single Bench to deposit balance 50% of demanded amount is extended for four (4) weeks from today. No order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
