1. Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.156/2026 dated 31.05.2026 registered at P.S. Saket for commission of offences under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC.
2. The prime contention coming from the side of petitioners is to the effect that their estranged daughter-in-law remained with them from December 2005 till September 2008 and FIR has been got registered after an extraordinary delay of nearly 18 years. It is also submitted that, even otherwise, the allegations for the abovesaid period are vague and omnibus.
3. Learned Addl. P.P. for the State appears on advance notice and submits that the investigation is almost over and charge-sheet is likely to be filed very This is a digitally signed order.
