Ms. Ranjita Nath, along with six other claimants, is present with Mr. N. Debnath, learned counsel. It has been submitted that a settlement has been arrived at, on a consolidated sum of Rs. 32,05,637/-. In view of the settlement, the claimants present before this Court have expressed no objection if the compensation amount is released in favour of the claimant No. 1, namely Ms. Ranjita Nath. In view of the settlement arrived at, this MAC Appeal is closed on settlement. The statutory amount deposited before this Registry, which was 50% of the awarded amount, shall be released to the claimant No. 1 on behalf of all the claimants in accordance with the prevalent notification No. 43 dated 26.06.2020. Page No.# 3/3 The rest of the amount arrived at in the settlement will be released by the appellant company to the respondent No. 1 on behalf of all the claimants within six weeks from the date that the respondent No. 1 supplies the details of her bank account. The compensation amount shall be released to the claimant No. 1/respondent No. 1 in this Appeal upon proper identification and verification. The statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- made by the appellant company shall be refunded in accordance with the prevalent procedure. Accordingly, this MAC Appeal is closed on settlement.
