GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief :- “…to issue a Writ, Order, or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, declaring the action of the respondents, more specifically Respondent Nos. 4 and 5, in interfering with the petitioner peaceful life by calling, summoning, and harassing the petitioner and their family members, without there being any crime registered against the petitioner, at the instance of the 6th respondent, as illegal, arbitrary, violative of the principles of natural justice, and contrary to Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct Respondent Nos. 4 and 5 not to summon, interfere with, or harass the petitioner or their family members in any manner, except in accordance with due process of law, and to pass such order(s).” 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Sri Rokkam Sai Prakash Reddy, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the police have unnecessarily called and harassed the Petitioner at the instance of Respondent No. 6. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that Respondent No. 6 has submitted a complaint against the Petitioner, and the police conducted a preliminary inquiry. In the 3 Dr.YLR, J W.P.No.13082 of 2026 Dated 04.05.2026 said inquiry, it is revealed that there are certain financial transactions between the Petitioner and Respondent No. 6. The police advised both the Petitioner and Respondent No. 6 to settle their dispute amicably. Except this, the police have not interfered with or threatened the Petitioner. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent police henceforth not to call or interfere with the personal liberty of the Petitioner except in accordance with due process of law. 6. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
