The respondent/Insurance Company is represented. It has been submitted that the parties have agreed to a total settlement amount of Rs. 70,000/- as a full and final settlement of all claims against the impugned Judgment and Award dated 18.04.2023 in MAC (injuru) Case No. 38/2015, passed by the Learned Member, Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Morigaon. Accordingly, the matter is settled on compromise in terms of the pre- settlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made a part of record. Both the parties shall put their signature in the pre-settlement compromise slip as token of acceptance for the settlement. Accordingly, the National Insurance Co. Ltd. shall deposit the settlement amount of Rs. 70,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 Page No.# 3/3 days from the date of this settlement order, failing which the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum until the date of deposit. The Registry shall disburse the amount to the claimant, Amdadul Islam upon proper verification and as per procedure. Upon furnishing proof of the deposit of the entire settlement amount, the Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the appellant, if any. The matter is disposed of in this Lok Adalat.
