The grievance of the petitioners, like many other persons in the State, is that the Land Tribunal of Kollegal Taluk has not been reconstituted. The application filed by the first petitioner's husband in the year 1976 is still pending consideration before the Tribunal. 2. This Court has come across many such writ petitions where the grievances of the petitioners is that the Land Tribunals are not reconstituted and therefore, the matters are languishing before the Tribunals without consideration. This Court has issued directions to the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department to ensure that the Land Tribunals are reconstituted, so that the pending applications/appeals are considered by the Tribunals and dispose as expeditiously as possible. However, in the present case, though such directions were issued to the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department to ensure that there is reconstitution of the Land Tribunal at Kollegal Taluk, no progress has been made. 3. On the previous occasion, the learned AGA had submitted, on instructions, that, the recommendation was forwarded to the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8524 WP No. 6409 of 2024 Government, but two persons were found to be ineligible for appointment as members of the Tribunal. Today, again it is submitted by the Learned AGA that the recommendation from the Deputy Commissioner has not gone and therefore, the Government has not reconstituted the Land Tribunal. 4. The writ petition is disposed of with a specific direction to the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department to ensure that the Land Tribunal, Kollegal Taluk is reconstituted as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The reconstituted Tribunal shall consider the application filed by the first petitioner's husband (Late Sri.Huchaiah) in proceedings LRF No.2224/1975-76 pending before the Land Tribunal in respect of the land bearing Survey No.58/1A Of Bastipura Village, Kollegala Taluk, measuring 01 Acre 05 Cents, within a period of four months from the date of reconstitution.
