The appeal is filed by the wife challenging the
judgment and decree dated 15.12.2022 passed in M.C.No.15004/2020 by the V Additional District Judge, Bengaluru Rural sitting at Devanahalli on a petition filed by the husband under Section 13(1)(ia) of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, which came to be allowed and a monthly payment of Rs.10,000/- was directed to be paid to the wife for her lifetime as maintenance. The maintenance awarded was ordered to be adjustable towards maintenance awarded in other cases, if any.
2. Today, a compromise petition under Order XXIII Rule 3 of C.P.C. has been filed, which is signed by

the appellant and the respondent and counter signed by their respective advocates. The parties are present before the Court and have been identified by their respective advocates.
3. Perusal of the compromise reflects that the parties have amicably settled their differences. They have withdrawn all allegations made against each other before the Trial Court. The Execution Case No.15022/2024 on the file of the District and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru Rural District at Devanahalli has been undertaken to be withdrawn.
4. In view of the compromise, a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- by way of a demand draft has been handed over to the wife in Court today. She has agreed to accept the said amount towards the lifetime maintenance as full and final settlement.
5. In view of the aforesaid compromise, nothing survives in the appeal. The appeal is disposed of in terms

of the compromise. The compromise shall form part of the decree. The decree of the Trial Court to the extent it grants divorce, is confirmed.
