JUSTICE RAJESH MAZUMDAR ORDER 12.09.2026 Ms. Hena Haflongbar, the representative of the New India Assurance Company Limited, is present. Ms. B. Das, the claimant, is present along with Ms. D. Das Roy, learned counsel. It has been submitted that the present claim has been settled for the total amount of Rs. 28,50,000/-, inclusive of interest as shown in the settlement. An amount of Rs. 1,21,000/- had been deposited before the Registry of this Court during the pendency of the appeal. The claimant shall be entitled to withdraw the amount of Rs. 1,21,000/-, which is already deposited before the Registry of this Court, as per the relevant notification. The claimant shall submit the bank details to the insurance company where the settled amount, minus the amount deposited before this Court, is to be credited. The statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- shall be refunded to the appellant company as per procedure. Accordingly, this MAC Appeal is closed on settlement. TCR be returned. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
