02/18.03.2026 Heard Mr. Anjani Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 6752 of 2025.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the purported murder weapon did not have any blood stains and, therefore, it could not be ascertained that it was used in the commission of murder of the father of the informant. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 21.02.2025 and there is no chance of the trial being concluded in the near future.
Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
It appears that the father of the informant was murdered and on the disclosure of the petitioner the murder weapon was recovered. It further appears that two witnesses have been examined by the prosecution.
Regard being had to the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to reconsider his prayer for bail which stands rejected once again.
