JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:22584 WP No. 13119 of 2023 ORAL ORDER The present writ petition is filed seeking the following prayer. “Wherefore the petitioners respectively pray that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be please to: i. Issue directions to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider the complaint filed by the petitioners and to take appropriate action pursuant to the NCR Reference No.46/2022 dated 10.06.2022 produced at Annexure-D and another complaint filed by the petitioners in NCR Reference No.33/2023 dated 06.02.2023 produced at Annexure-F by issuing a writ of mandamus. ii. Issue such other appropriate writ order or directions as this Hon’ble Court deems fit under these circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.” 2. When the matter was listed on the last occasion, as there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners, the matter was directed to be listed today under the caption for ‘dismissal’. Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. 3. Learned HCGP appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that the father has given a complaint against her daughter and they have issued a notice. On receipt of the notice, the daughter has appeared before the police and - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:22584 WP No. 13119 of 2023 has given a statement that they have settled the dispute between them before the Family Court and Civil Courts. Recording the statement of the petitioners’ daughter, the respondent police have issued an endorsement on 07.04.2023 stating that the complaint is closed on the basis of the statement given by the complainant's daughter. It is submitted that hence nothing survives the consideration. 4. Considering the fact that already an endorsement is given and the disputes are civil in nature, there cannot be any direction as sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition. In that view of the matter, this Court is passing the following: ORDER i. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. ii. All pending I.As, if any, in the petition shall stand closed.
