Bora, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R. J. Baruah, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. Mr. Baruah, submits that the Charge-sheet in connection with the instant case has been laid, vide Charge-sheet No. 70/2026, dated 09.09.2026. 3. In view of the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to move an appropriate application before the concerned Court. He further submits that, the case is triable by the Court of Sessions and that the committal proceedings may take some time. He also apprehends that, the committal Court may not entertain the application for bail. However, this Court holds that, there is no bar before the committal Court to entertain and enlarge the accused person on bail. Further, it is noticed that, petitioner is enlarged on interim pre-arrest bail by order dated 03.08.2026. As such, this Court extends the said interim order for another period of 20 days so as to enable the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the concerned Court, who will consider the application as per law. 4.
