This writ petition has been instituted with the prayer that a mandamus be issued directing the Regional Passport Officer to issue or reissue a passport in the petitioner's favour based on his application bearing File No. LK3077190425226 as early as possible. 2. We notice that this is a case where a show-cause notice was issued to the petitioner on 22.04.2026 by the Regional Passport Officer saying that the police verification report relating to the petitioner's application was adverse to her and that she may submit her explanation within 30 days. Though the show-cause notice is vague, the fact is admitted to the petitioner that Case Crime No.228 of 2024, under Sections 115(2), 351(3), 352, 324(5) of BNS, Police Station Shahganj, District Jaunpur is pending against her which could not be disclosed in her application. 3. The petitioner has already submitted a reply dated 30.04.2026 and given the entirety of circumstances. She have liberty to file a supplementary reply together with material within ten days before the Regional Passport Officer, Lucknow. The Regional Passport Officer, Lucknow is directed to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's explanation and her application for the grant of a passport after considering the petitioner's reply to the show-cause notice as also the material, if any, furnished in support of her defense. The order shall be passed within a period of one month of receipt of the petitioner's supplementary reply. 4. This petition is disposed of in terms of the aforesaid orders.
