The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the respondent-CESC in granting the electricity connection in respect of the sanctioned area of the subject premises. Pursuant to earlier orders of Court, the respondent-CESC has filed a Report dated 19th October, 2026. A copy of the Report be kept with the records. It is categorically recorded in the Report that the CESC Authority have no impediment providing a new service connection. In view of the above, WPA 20073 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to apply in accordance with law for a connection. If
2 such application is filed, the CESC is obliged to consider the same in accordance with law and after compliance with all necessary formalities.
