The instant bail application has been preferred by the petitioner for grant of regular bail for the offences registered under Sections 317(5), 273, 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 12 of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. Learned counsel further submits that petitioner is neither the owner of the vehicle nor he is concerned with the either selling or purchasing of prohibited meat. No incriminating material has been recovered from the petitioner apart from the fact that he was the driver of the vehicle from where the recovery was shown to be made. Learned counsel further submits that charge-sheet has been submitted. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. He further submits that petitioner is languishing in custody since 29.10.2025; as such, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by every condition imposed by this court. 4. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. 5. Having regard to the facts of the case and looking to the allegation against the petitioner coupled with fact that charge-sheet has been submitted and charges have already been framed; I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to 2026:JHHC:7582 2 be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri R.R. Kumar, Judicial Magistrate, First Class- XXVIII, Ranchi, in connection with Lower Bazar P.S. Case No. 255 of 2025. 6. It is made clear that the petitioner shall appear on each and every date before the learned trial court and if any adverse report will come against the petitioner, learned trial court shall be at liberty to cancel the bail of the petitioner.
