2026:JHHC:15448 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No.4452 of 2026 Narayan Gope @ Rani --- --- Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand --- --- Opposite Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioner : Mr. Vikash Kumar, Adv. For the O.P. : Mr. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, A.P.P. --- 02/26.05.2026 Heard Mr. Vikash Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Ichagarh P.S. Case No. 10/2026. The petitioner had entered into the house of the informant and demanded Rs.500/- for consuming liquor. On refusal, the informant was pushed and on hearing the commotion when the brother-in-law of the informant arrived, he was assaulted by the petitioner with an axe. It appears that the son of the petitioner had also instituted a case against the informant and the injured which suggests that there was a previous enmity between both the sides. It further appears that there was a delay of two days in lodging the first information report. The petitioner is in custody since 14.03.2026. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M. at Chandil, in connection Ichagarh P.S. Case No. 10/2026. This application stands allowed. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) Dated- 26th May, 2026. Amar/- Uploaded on: 27 /05/2026.
