1. Heard the Petitioner, who appears in person and Mr. Sameer Vashisht, learned Standing Counsel (Civil) representing Respondent No. 2 - GNCTD. 2. This Public Interest Litigation Petition has been filed showing some concerns in implementation of three schemes. There certain pension / financial assistance is provided to eligible persons. The schemes are as under: i. the Old Age Pension (OAP) Scheme; ii. the Disability Pension (DP) Scheme; and iii. the Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress (DPSWD). 3. The prayer made is that a direction be issued to the Respondents to fix a specific, uniform and mandatory date for disbursement of pension / financial assistance. 4. We have been informed by Mr. Sameer Vashishth, learned Standing Counsel (Civil) representing GNCTD, that the Old Age Pension Scheme and Disability Pension Scheme are administered by the Department of Social Welfare, GNCTD whereas the Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress is being administered by Department of Women and Child Development, GNCTD. 5. Accordingly, since the concerns raised in this Petition are to be addressed by the department which are administering these schemes, we permit the Petitioner to make a representation to the Department of Social Welfare, GNCTD and also to the Department of Women and Child Development raising the grievances which have been highlighted in this Writ Petition and once any such representation is made, the same shall be attended to by the concerned officer of the department concerned who shall take appropriate steps to redress the same. 6.

For the said purpose, the representation shall be made by the Petitioner within a fortnight from today and once any such representation is made, the appropriate decision and action plan in respect of the grievances raised in the representation shall also be taken by the department concerned within two months thereafter. 7. The decision which might be taken on the work plan which might be evolved by the department concerned shall also be communicated to the Petitioner. This is a digitally signed order.
