The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners being neighbourse of the de facto complainant, allegedly poisoned his dog, resulting in its death and leading to a quarrel between the parties. During the said quarrel, the petitioners are alleged to have abused the de facto complainant by uttering his caste name and also assaulted him. 3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials on record. 4. Considering the submission made and on perusal of the materials, it is seen that the petitioners and the de facto complainant are neighbours. It is alleged that the accused had poisoned the dog belonging to the de facto complainant as a result of which, the dog died. Owing to the said incident, a quarrel ensued between the parties. During the course of the quarrel, the petitioners are alleged to have abused the de facto complainant by referring to his caste name and also assaulted him. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 8289 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 5. In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the learned Special Judge for exclusive trial of cases under SC/ST (PoA) Act, Villupuram, to consider the petitioners’ bail applications, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No.106 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
