Heard Ms. T. Opu, learned counsel appearing for the accused-applicant. Also heard Ms. T. Jini, learned Addl. P.P., representing the State respondent. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant in connection with Seijosa P.S. Case No. 09/2026, registered under Sections 74/352 of the BNS, 2023, read with Section 34(7) of the Police Act, 1861.
Page No.# 2/2 The allegations against the applicant in the FIR dated 18.08.2026, alleging that the accused-applicant had physically assaulted and caused injuries to four (4) persons who are the informants. Based on the said FIR, the aforesaid police case has been registered. A co-ordinate bench of this court, vide order dated 31.08.2026 has granted interim pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant with a direction to cooperate with the investigation by appearing before the Investigating Officer within 10 days from the date of the order. The learned counsel, appearing for the accused-applicant submits that in terms of the aforesaid direction dated 31.08.2026, the accused-applicant had already appeared before the Investigating Officer and got his statements recorded. The Case Diary in the instant case has been received and the same is perused. Ms. T. Jini, learned Addl. P.P. has confirmed that the accused-applicant has appeared before the Investigating Authority and is cooperating with the Investigation. Taking into account the materials available in the Case Diary as well as the
submissions made by the respective counsel for the parties, this Court is of the considered opinion that the interim pre-arrest bail order dated 31.08.2026, should be made absolute. Accordingly, the instant AB application is disposed of by making the interim pre-arrest bail order dated 31.08.2026, absolute.
