Neutral Citation No. ( 2026:JHHC:7004 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 1989 of 2026 Ravikant Mahto ... … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand ... … Opposite Party --------- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --------- For the Petitioner : Mr. Nilesh Kumar, Advocate For the State : P.P. --------- 02/16.03.2026 Heard Mr. Nilesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned P.P. for the State. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 4222 of 2025. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 12.02.2025 and that he does not have any criminal antecedent. Learned P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. The allegation reveals that the petitioner was apprehended by the Police and 120 bottles of Onerex Cough Syrup were recovered from his possession. However, considering the period of custody undergone by the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District Judge-cum- Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Hazaribagh in connection with Hazaribag Sadar P.S. Case No. 39/25, corresponding to NDPS Case No. 28/25. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) Dated, the 16th March, 2026 A. Sanga/- Uploaded on 17 /03/2026
